Building a successful injury management program for your organization can be challenging, even daunting when you combine the economy, layoffs, HR policies, and workers’ compensation exposure. Despite these intervening forces HR professionals must recognize that workers’ compensation is the gateway to employment litigation.
This workshop series will educate human resources on building an effective injury management program and developing proactive policies. We help HR Managers understand the intersection between human resources and workers’ compensation litigation. What happens if you terminate an injured employee? Does workers’ compensation limit your exposure to litigation?
Employers who make adverse decision that impact injured employees may be in for a rude awakening. This workshop will expand the HR practitioners understanding of how terminating injured employees can and will increase employment litigation exposure for their organization. In addition we will evaluate how light duty return to work restrictions creates ADA compliance challenges. We will provide attendees with ten specific policies that must be in place before injuries happen and seven strategic areas that must be linked with HR compliance to avoid protracted spin off litigation.
